ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR STUDIES IN NEW ZEALAND

The general eligibility criteria for studies in New Zealand Universities are mentioned below:

  1. English Requirement:-

  • Both undergraduate and Master courses, the applicant must have a minimum score of 6.5 in IELTS for (the score depends on the course and university).
  • Several universities ask for a minimum score of 50 in PTE Academic for undergraduate and 64 for Masters Courses.

     2. Undergraduate:-

  • 12 years of elementary and secondary education (12th /Intermediate).
  • Most universities accept a minimum of 75% aggregate marks and a minimum of 60% in English
  • Mathematics in class XII as a requirement (for some Sciences and Technology courses).
  • Minimum mandatory IELTS/PTE Academic scores

     3. Masters in New Zealand:-

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum compulsory IELTS / PTE Academic scores.
  • Relevant work experience (for MBA and IT program).

You can travel to New Zealand as an international student if you:

  • Still hold a valid student visa with a valid offer of place to study,
  • Have conditions on your visa allowing you to travel to New Zealand,
  • you continue to meet the conditions of your student visa.

Requirements for Study visa:

  • The fund requirement is for full duration of the course and that covers Tuition fees and living expenses of NZD 20,000 p.an and all the funds should be 6 months old or from recent education loan. The funds acceptable are Savings, FDR’s and Education loan only
  • 4 Passport size Photographs with White background.
  • Qualification Documents (Original & Photocopy) from Matriculation onwards, Senior Secondary, Graduation, IELTS Score.
  • PCC and Medical for New Zealand.
  • Passport (Original & Photocopy)
  • Financial Documents / Education Loan.
  • Income Tax Returns for all sponsors (3 Years) & Pan Card
  • Work Experience Letter (Photocopy)
  • Telephone Numbers of Banks, where funds are held.
  • Stamp Papers
  • 50/- for Self
  • 50/- for Parents
  • 100/- for each additional Sponsor

Proof of having funds amounting to NZ$20,000 to cover expenses in one full study year which may include:

  • Bank statements
  • A letter from a sponsor promising to pay your living and accommodation costs.
  • Scholarship certificates (if any)
  • Police clearance certificate indicating spotless criminal record
  • X-ray report to show that you do not have Tuberculosis
  • The complete health examination report
  • Letters of Work experience (if applicable)
  • Statement of Purpose (SOP, if required)
