Admission Requirements
It is highly recommended that a student contact SUNLAND EDUCATION (SEIC) immediately on planning to study abroad in the United States of America, as the embassy necessitates sufficient time to process an application.
After the student has signed the agreement with us, we start applying on his/her behalf to various colleges and universities.
The student needs the following documents for admission to any University:-
1). Academic documents
2). IELTS
3). Passport Copy
4). Recommendation letter from 2 professors of the last academic institutions.
Admission to an institution does not guarantee the issuance of a student’s visa. Students must meet the requirements of the immigration Acts and Regulations of the US Consulate.
On getting the acceptance letter (CONFIRMATION OF REGISTRATION) from the university, the student is required to provide the documents for the visa process.
International University degrees are offered at three consecutive levels – Bachelor, Master and Doctoral. The possession of a degree from the lower level is generally a prerequisite for admission to the next. Some universities also offer diploma and certificate courses, which require one or two years of study in a specific field or discipline. All the colleges/Universities require certified copies of documents and academic records. For Universities, Official Transcripts are required in sealed envelopes. Students have to take the test of English ability IELTS or TOEFL. The scores may vary for different colleges and universities.
I-20 Requirement
- The students are required to pay the minimum fees that can vary from Nil to USD 465.
• The student has to show the funds during the course, which will cover the 9 MONTHS tuition fees, Living expenses & Medical Insurance.
The College/ University will issue the SEVIS ID no and the same is required for making the appointment with the US Consulate.
Note: The funds should be in the name of Blood Relative (Parents, Siblings, Grand Parents, etc) and should be at least 3 months old in the form of FDR, Saving, LIC Surrender Value, PPF, GPF, Education Loan, Post office (MIS/ RD).
VISA FILING
Presently the USA Study Visa or Spouse dependent Visa is filed online through immiaccount. For Filing a visa, we need the following documents:-
1). Credit card for payment of Embassy fees. The Visa charges are as follows:-
a). Base Application charge For Student – 465 $
b). Student + Additional Application charge 18 and over – 810 $
c). Student + Additional Applicant charge under 18 – 580 $
Appointment with the USA Consulate
The candidate needs the following things ready for booking an Appointment with the USA Consulate:-
1). School Code
2). Candidate Passport copy
3). SEVIS ID no. issued by College/University.
4). SEVIS FEES of USD 200 on the following LINK and will make the payment of USD 200 through a credit card.
VISA FORMALITIES
To apply you need the following documents:
1. I-20 issued by the College/University
2. Appointment Receipt – SEVIS I-901 Payment Confirmation receipt of USD 200.
3. Online fallible form no DS-160 and the code will be generated. Please click on this LINK for form no DS-160
4. Code generated (CGI No.) will be taken to either AXIS/ CITI Bank for payment of Embassy fees of USD 160.
5. Schedule the appointment of Bio Metric and Interview Date. The photograph will be clicked in the Embassy.
